Sure to be a fiery performance no one will soon forget, ¡Bailamos! hits the Linda Chapin Theatre at the Orange County Convention Center for a sizzling, exclusive performance. Presented by the Orlando Ballet, the production will feature original selections by artistic director Robert Hill.
The production, the first of its kind in Orlando, carries a heavy Latin theme and features a variety of tantalizing choreographies to time- honored melodies–huapango, danzon, tango and, of course, some hot salsa dancing!
Battle of the Sexes March 19-21
A unique component to the 2009-10 season, Battle of the Sexes, choreographed by Robert Hill, will display provocative and bold movements as female and male dancers face off to determine which gender really is “superior.” At the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.
Le Corsaire April 23-25
The season will wrap with an extravagant performance of the classic, Le Corsaire. Last season’s patrons enjoyed a taste of this extraordinary production during the ballet company’s 35th anniversary performance. The full-blown production will dazzle the audience with swashbuckling pirates, sensual harem girls, spirited choreography and an intense story line. Le Corsaire has been performed around the world by countless dance legends, including the late Fernando Bujones, whose performance won an International Ballet Competition gold medal. At the Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre.
