A Note to the Community
Many of you have passed through our doors and have been cared for by our doctors, nurses and a variety of healthcare professionals at Central Florida Regional Hospital. Thank you for your support over the years. As the CEO of your community hospital, I want to assure you that we are continually updating our services to meet your needs. (Some of those updates are described below).
At our hospital, the Emergency Room is often the front door to our community. We are proud of our qualified physicians and staff who are responsible for our positive patient experiences. We also take pride in the efficiency and wait times in our ER. Because of this, we now post our ER wait times on-line at centralfloridaregional .com. Or you can text “ER” to 23000. ER wait times, based on an average of the previous four hours, are updated approximately every 30 minutes. I want you to know that we are always here for you and your family’s healthcare needs. And, if you are in need of a physician referral, please call 800.445.3392.

Updated Cardiac Cath Lab
Central Florida Regional Hospital’s Cardiac Cath Lab features the latest in imaging technology. The new equipment allows for versatility in cardiac and vascular imaging, offering precise image quality and improving success rates in treating heart attacks, particularly STEMI (Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction)—a type of heart attack that affects enough heart tissue to be diagnosed by an EKG. This new advanced equipment helps contribute to the successful outcomes of our STEMI patients. Central Florida Regional Hospital's cardiac team is available 24-hours a day to treat all heart attack patients quickly and efficiently without having to transfer the patient to another facility. During a heart attack, especially a STEMI, the sooner blood flow is re-established to the heart, the less tissue damage and the better the outcome.
Central Florida Regional Hospital’s Heart Institute provides comprehensive cardiac and vascular care services to the community and is the only full service heart hospital in Seminole county. The Institute combines the talents of cardiologists, electrophysiologists, radiologists, cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons. This highly skilled team of professionals is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of heart disease. The hospital also has an accredited chest pain center and certified primary stroke center.
American Cancer Society Resource Room
A new resource room to provide services to cancer patients is now open at Central Florida Regional Hospital. This resource room is the only one of its kind in Seminole County, providing free supplies, prostheses and wigs to cancer patients. The room is open 9:00am–5:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays by appointment on the second floor oncology unit. Cancer patients can make an appointment by calling 407.833.7551.
