Califoria Closets on the Silver Screen

California Closets Bride Wars promo cardCalifornia Closets, pioneers in custom storage solutions, is not only at home in homes across America—it’s now in the movies. Bride Wars, the romantic comedy starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, features a custom closet design California Closets created to serve as a backdrop for a pivotal scene, and a promotional opportunity for the company.

Bride Wars tells the story of two best friends, Liv and Emma, who have been planning every detail of their weddings since childhood. Now age 26 and both engaged, they help each other execute their plans for two incredible weddings at the Plaza Hotel in New York. But when a clerical error has both weddings booked on the same day, their lifelong friendship is put to the test.

During the film’s production in Boston, California Closets worked with Fox 2000 Pictures to create a customized closet for one special scene: Before the wedding-planning mayhem begins, Liv and Emma are standing in Liv’s walk-in closet—courtesy of California Closets—when they discover an engagement ring intended for Liz, which her boyfriend kept hidden until he proposes.

California Closets can design beautiful, customized closets as they did for Bride Wars to meet the needs of any homeowner. Whether it’s an extraordinary clothes closet, an ultra-organized pantry, storage for a media room or a custom craft room, California Closets offers a broad selection of finishes and storage accessories in various price ranges.
